Preferred Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;
OR an equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.

*Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.

Job Duties

Facilitates CORE training for new Child Welfare Specialists, as well as level trainings, based on need and skill.
Assist with the competency based assessment of new Child Welfare Specialists skills and the ongoing development and evaluation of CORE curriculum and level trainings.
Assist Child Welfare Specialists and supervisors in the resolution of training issues and educational opportunities.

Preference Statement

Preference may be given to applicants who have at least 3 years of Child Welfare experience with at least one year as a supervisor.
